So far this year, we’ve had nine people resign. I feel that our employees are having low morale. People are blaming each other. there’s distrust in higher management. And people are not satisfied with their salaries. We are a big company with 264 people in our main branch. I have suggested to our head to probably hire a consultant. Do you have any suggestions?
The Team Doc Says…
An external consultant may be just the answer to this question. They are an impartial party who can assess what’s going on in your organization.
Is anybody talking to these people? Or has the entire management team buried its head in the ground like an ostrich? These resignations are typically signs of broader reaching problems. Someone needs to take the lead and get to the root of the issue.
The best place for you to start is to find a key leadership person who is willing to take the lead (or if you have to, someone else who has the ear of the leader). Plant a seed. Make suggestions for improvement. Don’t just complain. People get desensitized to complaints.
