People Are People — Good Leaders Can Lead Them All

by Denise O'Berry

I’m looking for “off-the-shelf” program to help supervisors manage technical employees. They currently manage unskilled workers and we are adding new team members to the mix.

Team Doc Says…

People are people whether they are non-skilled, technically skilled or professionally skilled. I would use EXTREME caution in creating / purchasing a training program that helps supervisors manage one group differently than another.

A leader / manager / supervisor should have standard skills and competencies that are required for their role in the company. They should be able to demonstrate and apply those skills no matter what type of employee they are managing.

Best regards,
